The Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMASTEA) in partnership with the African Olympiad Academy (AOA), is holding a Residential Bootcamp for 30 students from Wednesday, 8th to Sunday, 12th April 2026 at CEMASTEA, Karen.

CEMASTEA Boot Camp April 2026
CEMASTEA’s is hosting a five-day STEM Boot Camp at the Karen Campus that started from Tuesday 7th April 2026. The program, focusing on coding, robotics, and mentorship, and targets learners from Grades 4 through Form 4 and is designed to provide hands-on experiences. The Boot Camp aims to equip participants with essential skills for thriving in today’s technology-driven world. Learners will engage in activities such as mobile app development, 3D design, robotics projects, and hands-on math and science explorations.
These experiences foster critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and innovation, while inspiring young minds to pursue STEM pathways. Ultimately, the Boot Camp prepares learners with foundational skills vital for success in the digital and innovation-driven job market.

Capacity Building of Senior School STEM Heads of Departments
CEMASTEA commits to monitor and evaluate and support every training done. Through the CTCDC, 40 Counties across the country in 45 INSET Centres are conducting County INSET for Heads of STEM departments on management of transition to CBE from 7th to 10th April 2026. The workshop will prepare STEM Heads of Departments for the transition of Grade 9 learners to Grade 10 in 2026 under the Competency-Based Education (CBE).
