Gender Mainstreaming
Gender mainstreaming at CEMASTEA
Gender mainstreaming is the process of promoting sensitivity and integration of gender issues and concerns into the mainstream activities of an institution at all levels.CEMASTEA being an institution under the ministry of Education has an obligation to mainstream gender in its operational structures and functions to effectively carry out its mandate. In response to this CEMASTEA has developed a gender policy and a Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) policy. This policy provides a framework for the planning and programming of gender responsive programmes at the Centre for Mathematics Science and Technology Education in Africa.
